"I started this hike at 10 AM due to me sleeping in a lot. Then I started up the trail and then forked off on the Rita Walters trail, a nice excursion off the fire road with great views down toward the city. I did go up one of the small use trails to see the sign for Topanga State Park though. Then went on the fire road for a while, crossing a large meadow and having some great views along the way. Then I rested at Hub Junction. Then I summited the Cathedral Rocks along the way. There was a Class 3 scramble to get to the top. The views from the top were very cool. Then I went some more on the fire road to get to Temescal Peak. The clouds then covered the road and then they cleared right away after that. There were some beautiful wildflowers on the way to the top. Then I summited Temescal Peak. There were views of clouds on one side and the other side had a beautiful view of the San Fernando Valley. The summit had a pole and a benchmark. Then after I went back to Hub Junction and turned left to summit Eagle Peak and Eagle Rock. The trail was rolling and had great views. Then we saw a bench and summit Eagle Peak. The summit was kind of clouded over, but the clouds made for better view..." — lc444 • Mar 14, 2023

"I began the hike at the Marvin Braude Mulholland Gateway Park in Tarzana. The goal was to revisit Temescal Peak and pick up two other peaks in upper Topanga State Park. To reach all three peaks, I stuck to Temescal Fire Road up until the point I had to leave the road to reach the nearby summits. After making a quick stop on Temescal Peak, I continued on to Green Peak. Along the way, I also visited a small peak near the road known as Temescal Lookout. Temescal Lookout has the remains of a building foundation on top, but nothing more. Green Peak has a tall radio tower on top, which served as my turnaround point to where I backtracked beyond Temescal Peak to a road junction, known as Hub Junction. Before reaching the junction, I went up another trailside high point known as Cathedral Rocks. At the three way road junction (Hub Junction), I took the middle fork, which went in a more direct route toward Eagle Rock. When reaching Eagle Rock, I found where most of the hikers I saw all day were congregating. Many just stood or sat along the high points of the rocky summit.
