"So glad to be able to add this peak to the list after our first drive out was halted due to heat. Our climb day weather was the exact opposite. Cold, cloudy and a threat of rain the entire journey made for beautiful pictures. Started the trek at 1:45pm. Took a total of 2:10 to cover the 4.57 miles and 1,035 ft elevation gain. Wonderful day!" — erinfetters • Feb 21, 2022
"A great day for a hike. A group of conservationists were doing trail maintenance, making it easier to find the trail. We also went down to the 3 Sisters Waterfalls that were running well with the recent rain we have had." — tomlinpedque • Mar 17, 2021
"Great day to summit this peak before it gets too warm. It is best to get to the trailhead early as the parking fills up quickly. This is mainly due to hikers going to the much more popular Three Sisters Falls. From the trailhead head west. The trail will split. Left trail is Three Sisters Falls Trail, just about everyone will use this trail. Use the center trail which continues to the Eagle Peak. This trail is little used but only slightly over grown in spots. The trail is easy and even has shade along the way. It is easy to get off trail near the summit. Amazing views at the summit and lots of vultures and other birds effortlessly using the updrafts to stay airborne. Ramona is visible along with, Mt. Woodson, Iron Mountain, Veijas Mountain and Cuyamaca. Unable to see the ocean at this time of year due to the thick marin layer that is typical to San Diego May and June. Trail is out and back. Would recommend the use of trekking poles and gaiters. " — Mtstalker • May 4, 2019
"Great hike, but a long dirt road drive to get to it. I hike down to Three Sisters Waterfalls. Which did not disappoint. There was a rope along the route to assist in climbing up and down. After coming back up to the main Three Sisters Waterfall Trail I decided to continue on to Eagle Peak just for some added miles. The views looking down into the canyon and boulder creek were great. You could still here the waterfalls down below from the summit." — Philip-Yoho • Mar 10, 2017
