"Flew into Little Rock & drove out to Driskill Mountain after visiting Poverty Point World Heritage Site. Other than the humidity (which we're not used to in Vegas), it was a beautiful, short hike. Took the False Mountain Trail." — Kevin • May 24, 2019

"Part of a 72 hour, 3000km, 5 state high point, 6 state blitz from Calgary to Nashville. Snow led to late arrival and unplanned bivy at Nashville airport to get rental car at 6am. Camped free near Pennsacola, Florida on Sunday night (65F). Hotel in Arkansas on Monday (30F). Cheaha and Britton Hill on Sunday. Driscol Mtn (and False Mtn) and Bonny and Clyde Memorial on Monday. Magazine and Woodall on Monday enroute to another bivy at Nashville airport (28F)." — alexjoseph • Dec 3, 2018

"Good day to revisit Driskill just before the Highpointers Club convention this weekend. Unexpected surprise when old friends and climbing partners from Michigan and the Netherlands had arrived just minutes before I got there, taking advantage of a little free time before this weekend as well." — StoneMan • Jun 26, 2018

"Stopped by on my way to Texas and put a new logbook and Highpointers Club brochures in the register box. I wasn't at the summit too long before lightning, thunder and torrential rain had me heading back to the trailhead pretty quick." — StoneMan • Jun 18, 2016

"Second trip today. I went back down to the Jeep to pick up some tools to secure the new highpointers foundation bench recently installed by Eagle Scout, Logan Blackwell. Also took up some club brochures and newsletters to leave in the register. " — StoneMan • May 2, 2012

"Third trip from trailhead to summit today. Had to go back up and retrieve one of the tools I left behind after securing the new bench. Also wanted to get some additional photos. It's been warm all day in the mid-eighties which means all the bugs are out in full force." — StoneMan • May 2, 2012

"Pleasant stroll through the Louisiana woodlands. It was incredibly hot for a Feb 23 this day, my car said it was 87° (maybe it was cooler at the higher elevations of Driskill :D)" — KhartDougie23 • Feb 23, 2012

"At midnight on July 1, 1991, 5 climbers, Pete Allard, Jim Grace, Shaun Lacher, David Sandway and myself, Dennis Stewart, took their first step off the summit of Mount Rainier and began a climbing marathon to reach the highest point in each of the 48 contiguous states in one calendar month. During the month of July in 1991, the team hiked over 250 miles, climbed over 14 vertical miles and drove over 14,000 miles. Their total time (summit to summit) was 30 days, 10 hours and 52 minutes. All 5 members of the climbing team reached every summit during the month long expedition. Driskill Mountain was the seventh peak climbed on this record breaking trip, which got the team recognition in Guinness Book of Records." — Stewy • Jul 7, 1991
"I had just climbed Driskill Mountain and hiked back to my car when I noticed I had left my compass on the summit (This was before GPS's!), so I had to re-climb and found my compass sitting on a summit rock." — Stewy • Jul 9, 1986
