"Sunday stroll out to Divide. I didn’t realize it had been so long since I climbed a peak! I’ve been chasing waterfalls this year with all the snow melt. I felt great! This one is always relaxing & enjoyable. Flowers are in full bloom." — StudioHoodoo • Jul 9, 2023

"Followed gimpilators route to do these 3 peaks and somehow clocked me at 7 miles less when I recorded on alltrails . Nevertheless , very fun route , about 80% of it is on a nice trail only the last parts to each summit are off trail. McFarland is maybe a couple class 3 moves nothing crazy or exposed though . Lots of cairns too so route finding is never an issue. This is a super fun loop ! #10-12 of the Vegas 100 for me " — joshortman • Oct 6, 2022

"oh McFarFarFARland. Haha! always a long, but rewarding hike. Beautiful day, some light cloud cover to keep us cool. I got a 2nd wind climbing back up the bonanza trail and was a little ahead of my group so I quickly tagged Divide peak." — DudeAlmighty • Aug 31, 2022

"Beautiful, quiet day in the mountains! We took Bristlecone Trail to Bonanza Trail to Divide Peak. We tried a new descent route down a gully that saved a lot of distance on the way back. " — Kevin • May 1, 2021

"I usually just include this peak in a recovery loop with lots of trail miles. It has well over 300' prominence, but the routes from Bonanza trail give a diversion of no more than 150' gain. I've been up a lot of times, last was during a 2021 kidney stone episode." — hwstock • May 10, 2020

"Illness and busy schedules had kept me out of the mountains for far too long. I wanted to grab Divide Peak before the snow hit up in the Spring Mountains area. The deciduous trees have all lost their leaves, but the bristlecones are still as gnarly and beautiful as ever. We took the Upper Bristlecone Trail to the Bonanza trail on the way up, and the No-Name Trail on the way back. A nice gentle out-and-back to stretch my legs and see if I was healthy again. The verdict is "mostly," but I clearly need to do more hiking to get better. :) " — psychikingjes • Nov 17, 2019

"I really tore something in my thigh last week, so wanted to do a relatively simple hike. Though it's not the most grand, nor dramatic peak, the hike out to this one is very pretty, with great views, lots of wildflowers & many huge, ancient bristelcone pines. I took Upper Bristlecone Trail to No-name Trail. At the top of No-Name, I continued across the top of the ridge to the peak. I took Bonanza Trail back to the junction with No-Name/Old Bristlecone & returned the way I came. This hike is very pleasant & enjoyable. There were so many butterflies with all the flowers & I even saw the rare/endangered Charleston blue butterfly." — StudioHoodoo • Jul 28, 2019

"Hiked the Upper Bristlecone Trail to the Bonanza Trail, then took the short off-trail route to the summit. On the way back, we took the No-Name Trail shortcut for something different." — Kevin • Jul 14, 2019

"Went up from Old Mill picnic area and up the same canyon used for Sisters and McFarland Peak from Lee Canyon. Followed a ridge South that runs into the Bonanza Trail and headed a short distance North to the Peak. Fall colors were blooming. Returned the same way." — acekelly • Sep 19, 2018

"Started at the Lower Bristlecone Trailhead. Took the Bristlecone Trail to the Bonanza Trail up to the peak. We took the Bonanza Trail back to the No-Name Trail, which we took back to Upper Bristlecone. " — Kevin • Jul 28, 2018
