Great views from the top.
NOTE: Do not trespass on private land near I-80 when accessing peaks in this area. Landowners are increasingly unhappy with the careless actions of people violating their property. This peak is located in the National Forest and can be accessed by alternate routes that stay on public land.

Note from Peakbagger:
You are receiving this email because you posted a trip report and/or a GPS track on Peakbagger.com for a climb of Devils Peak or Snow Mountain (both near Donners Pass). I have been contacted by the landowner in that area (the Jones family) who has threatened legal action against any online platform that hosts any descriptions of trespassing on their land. They apparently own the land near I-80 where many people park to access these peaks, plus a large inholding in the Tahoe National Forest that includes most of the north approaches to the summits.
Therefore, I have deleted any trip report or GPS track you have posted for climbs of these peaks that show you were on Jones family land. They are no longer online. However, I have backup offline copies, and if you would like me to send you a copy of your old trip reports and or GPS tracks, let me know and I can email them to you. I don’t like having to delete content that users uploaded, since they may have spent some time or effort in creating it, so I am happy to offer this service, at least.
You ascents are still logged, so you still have Peakbagger.com credit for climbing these Tahoe-Ogul peaks, which are legally accessible from the south and west sides via public land.
I am sorry about this situation, and I am not happy about these kinds of access issues, but it seems prudent to protect myself (and my users) from any potential legal threats or action.
Thanks for understanding, and let me know if you have any questions or need backups of your content sent to you.
Happy hiking,
