This was a short, easy climb up a gravel road called Tower Lane. I parked at the end of the road at Oak Hill Road, but most cars could drive nearly to the top, where there is a locked metal gate. Beyond the gate are three broadcast towers at the summit: two for Maine Public TV (including Channel 10) and one for WPFO (Fox 23, Waterville-Portland). One can see the three towers as one approaches up Oak HIll Road. There is a well worn path to the left of the gate. The buildings at the summit have No Trespassing signs, as do some fences which warn against climbing the Fox 23 tower, but not for the property itself. From the topo map, it would appear that there could be a great view to the southeast were the trees cleared, but there really is no significant view from the summit. The scenery and views are much better on Oak HIll Road itself getting there. The temperature was 88 degrees F., but it was breezy and not humid. I had no trouble following the road to the gate near the summit, nor were there problems with bugs. There was more adventure finding Tower Road than the hike up it, but it was a pleasant, short jaunt.
