Parked at the end of La Plata Canyon Road near Kennebec Pass. Social trail begins off the road to the Notch, just past a group of low, scrubby willows. Look for it just to the right of the willows, then head up the ridge to the summit. The trail is approximately 1.25 miles one way. Nice views of Durango, west La Platas, Wilson group near Telluride, Lizard Head, Engineer Mountain.
