"Clockwise circuit of Carn Dhubh Mhor and Carn Geuradainn including their minor tops. Great views! Up the hydro track and stalkers path to the Loch. Pathless over the various summits to pick up the stalkers path down to Achintee, with a quick side track to Creag Dubh Bheag" — davidb • Apr 22, 2023
"From Strathcarron Station, using the grit track up Glen Taodail to a bridge, then the stalkers' path up to Loch nan Creadha. Then rough pathless hiking over a series of dips and rises, and up between two sets of crags to the summit. Return by outward route. Solo. Evening hike in good weather, with a fresh ENE wind. Red deer; golden eagle." — marktrengove2 • May 22, 2021
"Solo. From Strathcarron Hotel/Railway Station along track that starts beside the level crossing and which serves a run of the burn power system. About 100m beyond where this track crosses Allt Feadan Dhùghaill on a bridge is the present start of a path that leads up to the north of Creag Dubh Mhòr. The start of the path is marked by a cairn. Followed the path and then navigated in thick mist up the break in the cliffs. Took in Creag Dubh Mhòr NE Top, which has a small cairn. Mist lifted briefly to give wide ranging views. Continued in mist to the summit of Creag Dubh Mhòr. Nice to have such a well defined rocky summit. Went W to lochan at NG987404 and followed the burn from the outfall down to join path used on ascent, now clear of mist." — peter43 • Aug 4, 2018
