"Passed over this little peak on a training run with my sister. We reminisced about a family get together we had up here about 25 years ago. Very glad to see the surrounding neighborhoods haven't claimed more of the interior of the park just yet." — Al-Rashid • May 29, 2019

"From AA Peak trailhead, I moved down to Bear Ridge trailhead on WA-900, where there is a small parking place for about three cars. Then, I moved up to the "Talus Bridge Trail" of Issaquah City, viewing the trailhead. Then, I moved up back to AA Peak via Tibbetts Creek Trail and Tibbetts Marsh Trail." — dlam522 • Sep 15, 2015

"I only had a few hours to get away, so I decided to nab some of the little nubbins in Cougar Mountain Park. Did a 12 mile loop starting from outside the gate to the Sky Country Trailhead (I arrived before the park opened), then looping over Marshall's Hill, Deceiver Ridge, Long View Peak, Wilderness Peak, and Anti-Aircraft Peak, before returning to the car. No views, but lots of sword ferns and courteous runners." — TynanRammGranberg • May 31, 2015

"Highs and lows... peaks and mud.
I went to the park to find the crown jewel of Cougar Mountain Regional Wildland Park: Cougar Mountain (Anti-Aircraft Peak). Before going there, I thought I'd check out the nary visited Claypit Peak (no proper trail getting there - though lots of mud to be found). This is a bushwhacker's delight, and I have to guess that I'm probably very glad I did this before Spring takes full effect (in other words, the Nettles and Devil's club were under control).
While the bushwhacking and the clay mud was a bit irritating, the rest of the loop was very enjoyable and maybe a little too easy. That said, it was great to get to the outdoors today.

"I went for a nice walk in the woods around Cougar Mountain with a few buddy's and their dogs. We checked out the Million Dollar View, the claypit, Jerry's Duck Pond, and Anti-Aircraft Peak. " — Al-Rashid • Mar 2, 2013

"I took my dogs for a walk around Cougar Mountain. We visited Anti-Aircraft Peak, South Radio Peak, and Radio Peak. It had been a while since they hit the trail, and there were a million (thats my best estimate) people and pups on the trail for them to meet, so they had a blast." — Al-Rashid • Dec 30, 2012

"Did a loop on the Tibbets Marsh Trail, Clay Pit Road, Klondike Swamp Trail, and Lost Beagle Trail. Stopped at the clay pit, the mine shaft, Jerry's Duck Pond, Anti Aircraft Peak, and the Million Dollar View." — Al-Rashid • Jun 10, 2012

"Rain turned to snow as we were driving up the hill to the trailhead. We weren't in a four wheel drive vehicle so we opted to relocate to a lower trailhead. Wasn't expecting that. It's always a pleasure to get a dusting of snow covering the scenery on these lowland hikes." — Al-Rashid • Jan 29, 2011

"This was one of many trips spent exploring the remnants of old trails on my cougar mountain guidebook from the late eighties. Only a select few still get traveled and are actually around, but the ones you do find are surprisingly well worn. They are some of the most enjoyable trails on the mountain because you can escape the crowds. Of course, travel on these trails is highly discouraged by King County Parks and Rec." — Al-Rashid • Jan 8, 2011

"Points of interest on this trip included the million dollar view, anti-aircraft peak, radio peak north and south, and the view of seattle at the end of the trail that forks to the west below radio peaks." — Al-Rashid • Dec 18, 2010
