I left the Bluebird lake trail and cut across the burn scar.
From there, I bushwhacked up through the trees until I hit the base of the north slope. It was a hot day, but luckily I found a spring to filter water from about half way up. From the summit I descended to Ouzel Lake and returned to the Wild Basin trailhead.
