Parked 19 miles north of US Hwy 50 on Phantom Canyon Road (Hwy 67) at Dunnville Rest Stop. No trailhead! Hiked ridge immediately to the west and then followed ridge south. Most of the region is BLM, but spent some time hiking around private property. Hike was amazingly dry for mid-December - minimal snow on northern slopes. Thoroughly enjoyed the views, wonderful rock formations and wildlife. Lack of trailheads and the prospect of a hike ending at private property likely deters some. Still had a great December day.
