"Walked in off the Totara valley road, forded the river and made my way up through the untracked bush to the summit. I spent a while removing scrub and small trees growing up through the historic trig (surveyors triangulation beacon) which dates from the C19th. For about half the return journey a different route was taken in order to look for old gold workings. " — glennj • Oct 27, 2017
"Mountain biked from the locked gate on Falls Road to near Zalas Pond then took to the bush & climbed the steep spur up to Ford Ridge. From there it was fairly easy getting across the undulating ridges & saddles to Constitution Hill where I was surprised to find a pipe and wrought iron trig completely overgrown with regrowth bush on the summit.
For the return trip I headed along Ford Ridge toward Wilson Saddle then dropped into Swindlers Creek which was followed to Falls Creek which was followed down to Falls Road.
The complete round trip a mixture of biking, walking, biking took 7.5hrs from the gate on Falls Road back to the same place.
Note: there are no tracks or marked routes up this hill.
