"Parked in the Oaks Restaurant parking lot in Angelus Oaks. I picked up Forest Road 1N19 and hiked it to the turnoff point for Constance Peak. A use trail goes the rest of the way to the peak. A few false summits to deal with along the way. Great views from the summit. On the way back, I added peak 6040, which was simply a wide bulldozed hill in the forest." — MikeTeeples • Aug 27, 2023

"After bailing on Three Sisters, came back down the mountain to tag Constance. The road was pretty muddy, so I stashed the car at the bottom and walked up to the saddle. From there up the North ridge was mostly a few inches of snow but nothing steep or icy. Crazy clouds at the top. Really hope USFS doesn't keep the wilderness area closed for over a year again...I need to climb to San Bernardino Peak!" — edg • Feb 13, 2021

"Nice, clear weather on the last weekend of winter. I hiked up from Hwy 38 in Angelus Oaks at the large turnout past the Post Office and Oaks Restaurant, carefully walked along 38 for 1/4 mile and started up the dirt road FR 1N12 behind the Post Office. Before long, I found a spur road to my left and made my first stop at Peak 6040, which has a circular flat top and hung out there for a short spell. I then returned to 1N12 and continued the gentle ascent on 1N12 on the north slope of the ridge. After a while, the road switches to the south, sunnier side of the ridge, and at the point where that happens, I took a right to leave the road and head southwest along the ridge. There is supposed to be a use trail, but since snow was present, it was not visible, but it seemed a logical cross-country climb towards the peak so I just went for it trail or not. There are a few rock cairns here and there along the ridge route, and there may be more buried under the snow as well. The snow made the steep slopes a little harder than it would otherwise be, but I did not need microspikes, and did not even use trekking poles, just the balance of my feet, and occasionally grabbing onto a rock or..." — brianpowell • Mar 16, 2019

"Hiked from the Oaks Restaurant on Highway 38, because I didn't want my car to get dusty on the dirt road. This added an additional 2.8 miles and 300 feet to the hike. This also added a little bit of length to the hike. Hot day out there today, somewhere in the 90's." — MikeTeeples • Jul 28, 2018

"Quick Hike up to Constance Peak after driving in from Las Vegas, Great Views despite bad weather was moving in. Hoped to do some more Hiking in the area but unfortunately the weather did not cooperate. " — Nuernberger • May 13, 2015

"A pretty quick little hike up from the Oaks Restaurant parking lot in Angeles Oaks. The views of Keller peak are outstanding. It was a real joy listening to the birds and breathing in the pine scented spring air.
Snagged another Benchmark, as well. " — jimduvall • Apr 18, 2015

"Second peak today (after Three Sisters) with the HPS group. Constance is short and steep, with a spectacular pay-off for relatively speedy hike. We arrived shortly before sunset, and the views were quite wonderful." — HikerMark • Jan 12, 2014
