"Tackled this from Via Monte Acuto, heading up the path that ultimately leads to Monte Caccume. From a little east of the fountain, up the asphalt road that looks like a private drive, then going up the smaller one to the left of the gate. Through barbed wired gate meeting a path, taking it right at first then doubling back along the first of a series of long zig zags (marked with the occaissonal red dot) that moves North/nw up Contrada Fosso del Toro. Reaching the high point of this I left the path and walked over the barbed wire fence into the selva. The idea was to find a path that connected this with the top but a group of cows blocked the way and my companion didn't want to walk through them, so doubled back and tried to make way around the treeline to the south. This mean some bushwacking, but eventually reached a path that connected the small little corrals. From here things were easier. Had lunch by the Rifugio di Sacrifici, where there is an over-sized bench overlooking the Amaseno valley. The followed a path which took one to the forested hill of this top, though there was little undergrowth.
