"Terrific scramble. We ascended the summit via SE ridge Gained the ridge the right side of the standard route (Class 4 on downsloping slabs), followed by a knife-edge ridge. Wintery conditions with snow made it dicey. The rest was easy. We descended via South Ridge, which is largely a hike (Class 2). Despite a discernible trail with lots of cairns, I didn't find any information about this route online. A good loop for experienced scrambles.
Doug's video of the ascent that shows the crux: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RLutRr5y3EI" — Taras • Mar 24, 2023

"To escape the Vegas heat, we decided to drive across the CA border to bag Clark Mountain. At almost 8,000 feet, we figured it would be cooler. It was, but not by much. The hike was surprisingly nice with lots of great views, a knife-edge ridge & even a plane crash to see on the way down!" — Kevin • Jul 19, 2013
