"Wanted a fun and beautiful hike with the cousins from Ontario. We got a tad more than expected towards the end but still amazing nonetheless!

"Ski ascent with a great crew of 8. Snow on ridge and summit made for easy access to true summit across the notch. Stellar day.

"A beautiful approach to Helen Lake spotted with lots of wildflowers. The accent from Helen Lake is very straightforward with minimal route-finding. Decided to follow the ridge as much as possible for the first section as opposed to grinding up the scree slope (as many people there that day had done) which in my opinion, is not only easier but offers more interesting views. "25JUL15
TL;DR: Easy Hike, Easy Scramble, Definitely a Ski Mountaineering Destination to be checked out.
Rained all day. The trail is clearly marked and this could be largely considered a day hike up a Mountain. The visibility was awful but at least the rain stopped as I made the summit plod. The view is unbelievably rewarding for the amount of effort required, which is what I could imagine saying as I stood on the summit gazing into the grey abyss of rain clouds. A year earlier I had played around on steep rocky side slopes that hugged the valley. A spectacular view of Dolomite Peak served as the backdrop to this ridge walk, and briefly scouted out Cirque Peak. I fell in love with the idea of climbing it in Winter conditions, and returned in the middle of April 2015 to get to know the idea a little more. I should of brought Snow Shoes, Crampons simply are not enough. So I returned in the summer to finally climb the damn thing. I might return in Winter 2015/16 to give the Snow Climb another Shot." — AskTheMountain • Jul 25, 2015
