Austrian Alpine Club training course. From Siegerland Hütte more or less following ski-route to Sonklarspitze. Easy rocks, snowfield of increasing gradient. Along cornice to Hohes Eis. Moderate rock and crevassed glacier to Schwarzwand Spitze with awkward bergschrund. Descend via Schwarze Wand to hut. Easy if loose rock. Long glissade on glacier.
