I was climbed the mountain as a land surveyor working with the Directorate of Overseas Surveys, and was responsible for the construction of the Survey Station, and the observations from it. I was there for several days, and if my memory from such a long time ago serves me right, I and my crew climbed it from the north, without difficulty. Of course we also carried cement, water and form-work to make the concrete pillar. We broke the local rock to make our own aggregate.
