Small, rather insignificant hill on the Murrieta/Wildomar border. Chaney Hill is actually a lower hill to Gateway Hill (the hill with water tanks). To begin the hike,I parked next to a park at the intersection of Grizzly Ridge and Everwood Street. I then walked Grizzly Ridge to Jefferson Avenue and turned left. Jefferson dead ends and a dirt road forms in the brush. I went left on the dirt road and dropped down to Chaney Hill, which overlooks Palomar Road. I declared victory from there and returned the way I came.
