"Calm and snowy day. Well trodden path with some blow downs here and there. Summit was cloud but calm. The Tower was covered in snow and ice and I didnt dare to go up past 2 flights. Great day! " — bobbaker • Jan 30, 2024
"My first VT Fire Tower just over the NH border. It gets you above the trees and the views are awesome! The top cab portion is not enclosed however, so you need to be prepared for windy conditions. Attempted to take the longer bike path down but lost the trail about halfway down due to leaf drop and lack of trail markings." — SteveM_StickMan • Nov 5, 2023
"I needed a Calendar Day and it had been ages since I last hiked Killington. I headed up the Bucklin Tr. Flatish to start, then some up. The last 0.2 miles was steep. Some nice directional views to the north and west on one side. Over by some towers, there were views to the south and southeast. Windy up there. I came back down the Bucklin Tr. First hike of the day. " — newenglandwarrior • Sep 14, 2023
"Trailrun up the wet grassy ski trails and then over to the firetower. Perfect crystal clear viz from the top. Forgot how tall this tower feels, a 4000 footer with the tower? Ran down the Long Trail toward Stratton Pond but veered right onto a grassy snowmobile superhighway, then Catamount Trail (I think?). Great way to cap off a week of running some Vermont ski areas that I grew up skiing. " — scott • Jun 22, 2023
"A great hike with Haley and Murphy on a hot day at the end of May. Lot’s of people on the trail. Some from the gondola ride. Mostly dry trail with some muddy spots at the bottom. Bugs were out, but not too bad if you kept moving! Took the Appalachian Trail/ Long Trail route. Super views out of Fire Tower of Mt. Snow and Bromley. So good to be out!" — lfrancois • May 27, 2023
