"Lots of snow all around the approach. Very unsure soft footing. Was advised by some locals that further up the ridge thing were going to become very dangerous and I should consider turning back. I took the advice!" — goshen-bagger • Jul 1, 2025

"A lot of up for a small mountain. Almost 2700' in a little over three miles to the summit. Wonderful Pacific northwest forest..unfortunately the low clouds obscured any views." — goshen-bagger • Jun 26, 2025

"Steve and I decided to hike up Hollyburn as last year we went up in the cloud. This year the weather was a spectacular Spring day and the view at the top was fantastic. We took the x country ski route up to the top which is the south slope up the mountain. " — andrewbrintnell1 • Apr 26, 2025

"We decided to hike up Pump Peak as every time I had climbed Seymour I would by pass Pump. On this April Day the snow had softened in the brilliant sunshine making easier to summit. The early morning snow is always quite solide from the night freeze. We took our crampons and ice axes to assist our climb. The view on to was spectacular. There is nothing better than a Sunnny spring day and the mountains" — andrewbrintnell1 • Apr 5, 2025

"Mount Seymour hike with Jen and John on a brisk and sunny Sunday, with autumn foliage in full blaze. Did the hike as a loop - outward via Brockton, Pump Peak, Tim Jones Peak to Mount Seymour, then back via Mystery Lake. A bit of haze over the city, but beautiful 360 views nonetheless - Mt Baker and the North Cascades; Eagle Mountain and beyond; Mt Elsay, Runner Peak, Coliseum and Brunswick, Cathedral, and and and (wish I could
name them all). My second hike to
Pump Peak this year.
