"Started at the break of dawn. Very slippery, rocky path. Lucky to have worn long pants as the brush at the bottom was thick and sharp. Cold at the top with powdery snow. Beanie and good jacket recommended. The peak was difficult to find as the beacon had fallen over. I erected the pole of the beacon as best I could - sadly the actual beacon has broken off. Found a cool old oil tin on top. Beautiful scenery, but a climb I will be reluctant to do again in one day - the route on the other side supposedly has a cave to dwell in overnight and fresh drinking water. Very arid conditions on the climb," - Seweweekspoortpiek, joshgordon, Aug 23, 2016
"This is the highest point in Mpumalanga, and was actually a bit of an anti-climax. The peak is quite barren and does not have awesome views because there's a lot of high country around, and no really steep gradients. It's about a 4.5km walk (one way) from the nearest parking, with mostly easy gradients except for the last few hundred metres which is steeper." - Die Berg, andymaclaurin, Feb 11, 2012
