"Started from BBT access at Piuma Rd. Sunrise, scent of wildflowers, and chirping birds - an invigorating feeling. Took a break at Corpse wall, then continued to Saddle peak. Enjoyed the clear views of the ocean until the blazing sun warned me to cool off for the rest of the day." — Adarsh Amalvez • Jun 21, 2024
"Started at Mulholland Gateway early 6AM, nice cloudy morning. Did a twofer, Temescal peak and Skull Rock, via the ridge. Lots of encroaching bushes near the peak, otherwise the ridge is clear." — Adarsh Amalvez • Jun 8, 2024
"Slow and short hike from Red Rock trailhead. Foggy early morning, the misty air was refreshing. Birds, rabbits, colorful flowers along the trail😍. Took a break at Red Rock overlook before climbing Calabasas peak. " — Adarsh Amalvez • Jun 1, 2024
"Started at 7:30AM on a cloudy Sunday. Slow and steady pace at a counter clockwise loop. More water in the stream than usual along Mishe Mokwa trail, thick bushes on the spur trail to balanced rock. Lots of birds, rabbits and lizards along the way. And also, a couple of trail runners practicing along backbone trail for the bulldog marathon. It was already sunny by the time I reached Sandstone peak at almost 10AM." — Adarsh Amalvez • May 19, 2024
"I started this hike at 10 AM due to me sleeping in a lot. Then I started up the trail and then forked off on the Rita Walters trail, a nice excursion off the fire road with great views down toward the city. I did go up one of the small use trails to see the sign for Topanga State Park though. Then went on the fire road for a while, crossing a large meadow and having some great views along the way. Then I rested at Hub Junction. Then I summited the Cathedral Rocks along the way. There was a Class 3 scramble to get to the top. The views from the top were very cool. Then I went some more on the fire road to get to Temescal Peak. The clouds then covered the road and then they cleared right away after that. There were some beautiful wildflowers on the way to the top. Then I summited Temescal Peak. There were views of clouds on one side and the other side had a beautiful view of the San Fernando Valley. The summit had a pole and a benchmark. Then after I went back to Hub Junction and turned left to summit Eagle Peak and Eagle Rock. The trail was rolling and had great views. Then we saw a bench and summit Eagle Peak. The summit was kind of clouded over, but the clouds made for better view..." — lc444 • Mar 14, 2023
