The NE111 is the ultimate peak challenge in the Northeast US, a tour de force including a dazzling hit-list of classic peaks. Many aspire to complete this well-known master challenge which combines the ADK 46ers, the NH 4000-footers, the New England 4000-footers, and the 2 Catskill 4000-footers. A lifetime achievement that leaves you with a deep knowledge and appreciation for the many high places of the Northeast. All peaks lie in the US states of New York, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine. Over time some of these sub-challenges have been revised with new peak data, but some haven't, so there's no strict prominence threshold here -- and now there are 115 peaks, not 111 as originally. Sometimes referred to as the NE115. More info: http://www.amc4000footer.org/the-lists-we-recognize.html
