"Up Indian Trail (North).
Down Hardscrabble to Carriage Trail and back to Kineo Dock. I missed the ferry back, thankfully was able to catch the 445pm!
Hardscrabble was a little steeper than expected, slippery with recent rain with spots of decomposed pine needle peat adding to the slick. Great hike, beautiful views. " — CAnn • Jul 26, 2021
"a narrow trail at the beginning-- like a cow path. The various stairs are great. The trail towards the summit is magical! Covered in butterflies. It was a 90 degree day, I didn't spend much time at the top. The views are limited, go beyond the tower and follow the trail to the overlook. " — CAnn • Jun 20, 2020
"Awesome hike. Ferry is a bit pricey, especially for a 6 yr old. Great small peak. Easy enough, but with a lot of quick up to get you breathing. Cliff Trail was awesome with great views all the way up. Fire tower at the top is an added bonus. Took the boring trail down. Then almost broke my ankle on the perimeter trail when we were almost back at the trailhead. Worst rolled ankle ever. Luckily no major damage, and was back to 100% in a few days. Kids had a good time and enjoyed the mountain. " — mikewilliamsjr • Aug 12, 2019
"Theres two trails. Look for the old trailhead to cut your distance in half. Made the mistake of doing the longer trail not knowing there were two. The longer one has a bunch of switchbacks up and down hills. Over and back through a stream. Great views though." — punk_chick4243 • Jul 28, 2019
"Great trail, cold and windy at the top. Great hike for dogs. 3.8 miles round trip. I was dressed for June but it felt like November. Trails nicely marked. With some great views at the top. I also was able to find the geocache on the top while my friend climbed the tower. " — mary.wright.35977 • Jun 9, 2016
