"A loop hike along Griffith Lake Tr and the Long Trail south. I bushwacked to Tabor along the way. Everything was wet from the morning fog. There was some young tree growth that made some areas quite thick, including along the summit. I found it easier to go around them. The summit jelly jar was slightly concealed and low hanging (maybe 2 feet off the ground). I then bushwacked back to Griffith Lake Tr and continued north until I reached the Long Trail. I then went southbound, making my way up the gradual slope of Peru Peak. I crossed the wooded summit and reached Styles Peak after that. There was a directional view but also some low cloud cover. I followed the LT south off of Styles and eventually reached Mad Tom Notch Rd where my car was parked. " — newenglandwarrior • Sep 30, 2026

"I hiked solo today. Left the trailhead at 8 am. Very foggy this morning. The trail was mostly dry except the the high bog in the valley between West Dorset Peak and North Dorset. Spent 10 minutes on the summit partaking of some refreshments and headed down. Plan on hitting West Dorset Peak on the way down. " — garyogden • Aug 26, 2026

"Hiked with Dean this morning. Temps in the 60s with a nice breeze and a heavy dose of wild fire smoke. Trail conditions were dry. Some steep sections broken by some nearly level sections.
