"A had a short climb to this dome from the Lake Mary viewpoint. Then I hiked up the road and then at the road closed gate, I went into the snow to summit. I went through the pine trees and then went through the bushes which was very thick and then summited Panorama Dome. "This easy hike made a nice addition to the hike to Mammoth Mountain. After getting lunch in Mammoth, I drove up Old Mammoth Rd to a point just before reaching Lake Mary Rd. On the right is the trail marked with a small wooden National Forest sign. I found a place to park and enjoyed the short leg stretching hike to the top.
