"Trip up the keyhole route with Anna Nick Jake Diego Tim and Virgil. Supported Virgil partway down the boulderfield after he got hurt, but luckily was able to turn around and catch up with the rest of the group as they pushed for summit. Very flat at the top, very playful route. Long but awesome day overall and saw a moose at the Battle Mountain CG on the way down." — benyboy • Oct 11, 2024

"Hiked 6 miles out to the Boulderfield from the Longs Peak TH, camped in the Boulderfield that night, climbed the Keyhole route the next morning (which I was not anticipating to be as technical of a climb as it was) and climbed 2.38 miles out and back from the Boulderfield to the summit, hiked back to the TH from the Boulderfield, arriving back at 3:55 pm on August 29. Incredible 1.5 days in the mountains.
Do you research before this route, it requires some insight and it was tremendously helpful to be hiking/climbing with someone who knew the route (as he had done it a month prior). " — Katamount • Aug 29, 2024

"Second Long’s ascent. This time via Cables Route (North Face). Took about 13 hours and let me tell ya, I respect Sherpas even more than I already did after hauling a rope to the top of the mountain🤣🤣" — LGH-Dan • Jul 22, 2022

"We got to the Keyhole by sunrise. It rained very briefly, but that made it a little slippery on the way up. It was kind of foggy but half of it cleared by the time we got to the top, so we still got incredible views. The picture of the keyhole is from the way down." — matthewanderson • Jul 6, 2022

"We were trying to do Longs, but we ended up following footsteps that lead up Mount Lady Washington. The snow was so deep we just went with it. We didn't end up doing Longs because it looked like there might be an avalanche. " — matthewanderson • May 27, 2022
