"The most extreeme hiking i've ever done. Thousand of earthworms. Some of them are dead and smell very fishy. Met with Kopaska (Indonesian's navy special force) who are training there. Awakened in the early morning with the blast of geranate. Boom! Peak to Bremi : Rain storm, slippery track, muddy, flood, and kissed by leeches. 5 days 4 nights full of challenges (and experiences)." - Gunung Argopuro, sigitaji, Dec 26, 2017
"Beautiful mountain, ruined by trash, just like many other Indonesian mountains. I started from and descended back to Kersik Tuo. The first long part of the trek is through a dense rain forest. It gets very slippery when it rains and in my SE Asia mountain experience, it rain a lot! The path is very steep. You will have to use both hands climbing from shelter 2 to shelter 3, so tuck those sticks into your backpack :) Shelter 3 is just at the exit on the jungle, and you can see the peak from there. It's a rocky path from there, really steep, and you will have to get down on all 4 in some par" - Gunung Kerinci, ahmadnakib, Jul 30, 2016
"Steep challenging badass mountain climb through a dense wet rain forest. All very beautiful though and mid-day sun was just there at the summit waiting for us. It can rain pretty hard and forest gets really slippery when it does. Don't go unprepared." - Gunung Agung, ahmadnakib, Jun 26, 2016
"Beautiful mountain unfortunately ruined by tons of trash left everywhere by trekkers and porters. National park should really do something about this. Trek is very pleasant, not too hard except for the last 300-400 meters to the summit through loose sand. They are literally painful." - Gunung Rinjani, ahmadnakib, Jun 20, 2016
"An absolutely remarkable trip I had up there. I went up all alone and I was the only person on the mountain, let aside a couple of descending parties I crossed for the first out of my trip. Got quite a lot of rain but the sky was clear when I was at the crater, that's what matters. Full trip report + map:" - Gunung Kerinci, DimitriosFan, May 22, 2016
