"Great hikes. Started at our lodging (Villa Motel) and trekked up Pawnee Street to Laguna Point Road and to the trailheads. Nice amount of shade from the trees, especially on Red Mountain. Great vistas on both peaks. Red Mountain was much steeper and trickier near the summit. Kudos to Manitou Springs for their excellent trail network. FYI: Route the summit says we hiked part of the the "Interment" Trail - it should be spelled "Intemann" Trail. Gotta love autocorrect (not). Haven't figured out how to amend that yet. "Great day for a hike. We started near the summit and hiked 1/2 mile down the peak and back up. Would have trekked further, but I decided trip over a rock on probably flattest portion of the Barr Trail and ding up my knee. My knee will be fine, but for the old ego...?" — rick-brown • Aug 19, 2024

"Since it was quite windy, I layered up, anticipating the upcoming hikes I had planned. Initially went over to the specially placed summit sign for photographs. After checking out all the festivities at the top, I noticed that the coordinates placed the summit on the other side of the pkg area among some scattered rocks. Clambered over. Looked in vain for any sign of USGS markers. Made sure I climbed onto the highest rock in the area, which actually was above the picture taking monument. I would guess that, with all the earth moving to make the summit accessible, nothing is as it originally was." — SteveM_StickMan • Aug 13, 2024

"Hiked up the steep way from Red Rocks area. I didn't think I'd make it all the way due to snow but it wasn't bad.. Wished I brought my poles, I had to finda stick to get down without slipping! Amazing views. Excellent hike." — beaucheminjess • Apr 29, 2024

"1. Tagged as part of my ascent of Pikes Peak.
2. 2nd peak tagged on the way up to Pikes Peak.
3. 3rd peak tagged on my way up to Pikes Peak. Weather was moving in so I made it quick.
4. First 14er up from Crags! Got some pizza and donuts at the top (Homer Simpson). Caught a ride down from the top." — benyboy • Sep 30, 2023
