"This trail is difficult to navigate and is pretty overgrown. It can be hard to find so I’d definitely recommend recording a track on the way in. You will also have to cross the creek which has a pretty strong current.
I would also recommend doing this hike early in the season before the foliage grows in too thick. Lots of bear activity as well, so be prepared.
The hike was about 12 miles. " — chloe185 • Jun 5, 2023
"Got fogged in at the summit. It was pretty easy going from the saddle to the summit. We took the backside down to get onto Powerline Pass trail instead which I think was faster. Beautiful area and beautiful summit. Not much exposure either." — chloe185 • Sep 6, 2021
"Beautiful blue bird day! We hiked the trail from the dome up to Knoya all the way to Koktoya. Great views of Denali the whole time! Long Lake is a great little oasis too. It's a great ridge walk but definitely a haul! " — chloe185 • Sep 12, 2020
"Almost 10 miles from the Jber cabin trail. It was a lot of bushwhacking and way finding through extremely tall grass. We ended up going up the peak to the West instead due to time and weather. Recommended to do this peak early spring so it isn't as grown over. " — chloe185 • Aug 29, 2020
"Beautiful day for a hike. We did both North and South in one day. Followed the ridge up to South and then down the saddle to North. South isn't too exposed but you do cross a rock field near the top. North is more exposed near the top and requires a little bit of class 4 climbing. Going down the saddle is a little sketchy but doable. " — chloe185 • Aug 15, 2020
