"Took on Mt Grey and completed the climb on a beautiful sunny day. Clear skies and great views all the way up - hard to beat. Steady pace through the bush and along the open ridgelines. Hit the summit feeling strong and soaked it all in. Wrapped it up with a satisfying run back down the same route. There is a loop route which I explore another day. Another peak in the bag and a solid day out.

"Set put to climb Mt Thomas despite the rain rolling in. Conditions were wet and bit slippery, but I pushed on through the mist and drizzle. The forest was quite, with only the sound of rain tapping through the canopy. Reached the summit with a sense of satisfaction-clouds closing in but the effort was worth it. Followed it up with a trail run back down, legs burning but spirit high. A wet but memorable climb." — jasonp • Jan 19, 2025
"Was extra foggy, so couldn't keep going to Castle Hill peak. Other than the thick fog, the weather held up pretty well, rained a little but mostly on the way back down.
Definitely need to go back on a nicer day. " — sarahrbooth • Dec 27, 2022
"Clockwise circuit beginning at layby at bottom of porters pass. Started 7.20am, got back to car 11.20pm. Long day. Route dropping back off ridge into valley was bad choice, thick scrub, should have followed ridge to the end. " — AidanAstwood • Sep 11, 2022
