"Hiked with Gina and Dean today. Stewart is a short hike @ 1.1 miles. Trail had a little snow at the trailhead and then just frozen dry soil to the summit.
A limited view of Loon Lake from the lookout. Headed back to car and then off to hike Kipp just up the road.

"After hiking Stewart earlier, we arrived at the trailhead for Kipp. And like Stewart there was some snow left down low and then just a frozen and dry trail to the summit. A nice view of Loon Lake awaited us at the summit." — garyogden • Mar 22, 2024
"Hiked with Dean and Katie today. The road into the trailhead wasn't plowed today, so our hike was a couple miles longer. Even though it was still technically a winter hike, the beautiful day said spring. Views from the bald summit were awesome. On the descent we stopped to study the head stones in the Lang Cementary. Very interesting. A short easy hike with big rewards!" — garyogden • Mar 12, 2024
"Dean and Katie hiked with me today on a beautiful blue sky day with temps around 30. Belfry is the shortest fire tower hike in NYS at only .8 miles r/t. A quick up and down and then off to Cheney Mtn just a short drive away." — garyogden • Feb 25, 2024
"I hiked with brother Dean today. We decided on this short hike close to home on this cold and windy winter day. Trail was frozen with a fresh light dusting of snow. Some ice in places that were easily skirted. Nice views from the summit. Up and down in a little over a hour." — garyogden • Feb 18, 2024
