"Fantastic loop walk from Orange Thorn Cres. Went left at the water tank and followed the creek. Lots of rain recently so the creek was flowing and there were a couple of little waterfalls (watch your footing!). Off trail until the main fire trail up to Mt Rob Roy trig, then across to Big Monks Trig (also off trail, lots of thistles, gorgeous views though)." — kjw • Oct 18, 2020
"This was a very enjoyable hike. We decided to do Bimberi Peak and then drive to Kosciuszko to complete the State8 challenge in the same trip. We had to walk a little longer than we expected, as there was a gate closed along the road, but it didn't add too much time to our hike. The path is fairly easy to find and you can see Kosciusko from the top. We relaxed and ate lunch in the sunshine at the top for quite a while before making the return trip. "Drive up Brindabella Road, Coree Summit Road. In an AWD you can make it to the top, but I parked a few bends down the road to avoid the final rocky part of the road before the summit. Done for Amateur Radio Summits on the Air activity." — VK1DI • Oct 25, 2015
"Drove to the locked gate at the end of Mount Frankin Road. Mountain biked to Priors Hut, taking about an hour. Left the bike at Priors Hut, walked along the road to the track on the right marked by a blue rock on a post and climbed to the summit, about 40 minutes. Spectacular views. Done for Amateur Radio Summits on the Air activity." — VK1DI • Oct 5, 2015
"Walked up the track from Namadgi Visitors Centre. Endless steps... Once past the steps the going gets easier, finally joining the maintenance road for the communications towers on top. Climbed for Amateur Radio "Summits on the Air" activity." — VK1DI • Aug 16, 2014
