Appalachian Trail

"Great day for a hike. Set out to bag my 100th peak and ending up bagging 100 and 101. It was a three peak day all together. We hiked up the AT from the KI Road, and headed South. The views from Chairback were great, the foliage was at peak. From here we headed over to Columbus MT and then on to Third MT. Then down the old AT, we hitched a ride out to the KI Road and had a short walk back to the car. The weather couldn't have been better. It's so good to be back on the trail. We only met one North bounder headed to the big K. Colby was from Japan and was about five days from the end of the trai" - bwright, Oct 6, 2013
"While staying at Little Lyford Pond Camp my husband Iain and I (on holiday from Scotland) took a day hike on the Appalachian Trail. We climbed, in glorious weather and through wonderful fall foliage (on the lower slopes). Stopped for tea and a packed lunch on the summit - it started to snow very gently. One of the most blissful hikes of my life. Attached photo is me on the summit - happiness is." - Maine4Julie, Oct 20, 2002
