"Eight years ago I climbed this mountain with my son and I wanted to return to it, this time alone and from the recreational area of El Nevazo de Arriba. It has the shape of a pyramid and will make you sweat whenever you try to climb it, however the views from the top of the town of Moratalla and its fields are stupendous. Today there were no storm warnings so I took advantage even though the day was gray and cool for this time of year.
The rains this past week have alleviated the drought somewhat and many plants have flourished, such as wild roses. After eating at the top I descended to approach the Cerro de los Conejos, where a small stone block marks the top in the middle of the forest." — franciscobirruezo • May 22, 2023

"I come from La Peñarrubia in the mountains of Caravaca de La Cruz, I have already forgotten the cold up there and I am walking along muddy paths because it rained a lot here yesterday.
I'm having a good time in these beautiful mountains, I take the opportunity to pick pine cones that will help me light the fireplace at home. The top is full of vegetation and forces me to walk through. I see some mushroom and many traces of wild boar so I fine tune my ear because I don't feel like tripping over any. Upon returning I see the fortress of Caravaca in the distance." — franciscobirruezo • Nov 23, 2019
