"On the way to these peaks it was raining hard on the road near the town of Cehegín, this made me believe that today I was going to get wet during the route, in the end the wind has blown away the clouds and the sun has made an appearance .
These three peaks are on the same ridge but to access them you have to go up and down, up, down and up. The views are very good but there is no defined path and you have to find your life a bit, there is not much scrub but the terrain is very stony and rocky.
At Pico San Juan a group of mountain goats ran off as soon as they heard me and near Cerro del Pelao there was a goat's foot that perhaps a fox put there. I have not seen vultures today but I did see an eagle playing with the thermal air currents and many birds." — franciscobirruezo • Mar 18, 2023

"I am at the top of Puntal del Orihuelo, near Cerro Careto, but I can not see it because all the clouds collide with that peak. I value myself and I decide to climb it, I think I'm in good condition to do it. I walk between mountain pines and I look frequently at the GPS to know my position. The top is a compact group of rocks. I am grateful to be up here while the fog wanes a bit and I take a picture of the Puntal del Orihuelo Peak." — franciscobirruezo • Dec 29, 2018
