We set off from the hotel later than planned but made it to the base of the massive in reasonably good time. It this point the weather looked unpredictable and the temperature was dropping, but we took a chance and scrambled up. Just as we summitted the weather closed in and it started snowing, so we didn't hang around but just took a couple of photos and then started our descent. Until we got back to the base of the massive this was tricky because the rocks were now wet and we had no ropes. The last scramble was more of a controlled slide!
The walk back from there was cold but but we were rewarded by four Eland which crossed the path maybe 30m away.
