Bert and I met up at the 22/22x at 7 A.M. It was apparently -19 according to his car. We hung out a bit at Tim Hortons in Black Diamond and waited for the chinook winds to blow in. It definitely got a lot warmer throughout the day. There was a ton of elk shit all over the ridge. Or maybe it was sheep shit... in any case, it was a giant herd of something that had left it all over the entire ridge. We did a little bit of scrambling to the first summit where the big cairn is, then continued onward to the final end of the ridge, which wasn't too much further. There were some ups and downs on this one and it was a wee bit tiring after a while. But winter just requires more effort anyways. Views were okay, but the sky was not clear - too much snow and cloud blowing around over the Continental Divide.
