"My 200th summit was a special one for me. My first in a foreign country. Climbed the 300+ stairs to the viewpoint and then continued on to the actual summit of the mountain. It was kind of a mess as there are no accurate maps or even trail signs or markers to help you along the way. I relied heavily on peakery and avenza to navigate my way. This resulted in me taking a hell of a spill at one point, but whatever. I walked A LOT today. I have no clue on a final mileage. It was an awesome experience. " — mikewilliamsjr • Jul 23, 2024

"Walked with my family from Mt Royal Park to this viewpoint, which I had already visited earlier in the day. The view here is so unlike anything on any other hike I've done. The original hike up required probably 500 stairs, including one section that was 330+ of them. My legs were on fire! After exploring the rest of the mountain myself, I then met up with them at the park and went back so they could see it for themselves. I then descended the stairs instead of driving with them and had them pick me up, so it was a complete hike. Awesome day. " — mikewilliamsjr • Jul 23, 2024

"I was sitting at Mont Royal Park waiting for my family to drive up and meet me. I realized from looking on here that this little subpeak of Mt Royal was sitting right behind me and maybe a 5 minute walk, so I bagged it while I was there." — mikewilliamsjr • Jul 23, 2024
"Some hiking for the girlfriends NEHH peaks. I had to do research on the access since things have changed over the years. We drove up Morton Cut Off to Lincoln Brook Rd (formerly part of Tim Pond Rd) to Kennebago Rd to Wiggle Brook Rd to Oxbow Rd to Porter Brook Rd. We were pretty far out there. We started up the road, then bushwacked towards the col of NKD and White Cap. We stumbled across a herd path most of the way up the col. We entered the col, then bushwacked towards NKD. We picked up another herd path and followed that to NKD. We then returned to the col and took the herd path to White Cap. We then bushwacked west towards the boundary swath and reached the summit of Monument 450 Peak. We followed the boundary swath steeply down towards Dennison Bog. Some standing water and squishy mud but it was better than I was expecting. A steep ascent up a sub peak, some PUDs, and then Boundary Peak. We then returned over Monument 450 Peak, followed the swath for about 0.2 miles, and stumbled across a herd path on the US side of the swath, near a elevated hunting platform. We followed that herd path. It became an overgrown old logging road, and then a road that we started up from the car...." — newenglandwarrior • Jun 21, 2024

"It had snowed earlier in the week, followed by temperatures in the 40s and 50s, so many of the trails were covered in slush and mud. But the weather during the hike was beautiful and we had clear views at all of the lookouts." — JCalautti • Mar 14, 2024
