"This is one of the seven hills of Edinburgh, Scotland. It’s low but pretty. Apparently I’m doomed to dismal views wherever I go. The fog was too dense to see anything from the top, though there is much to see." — briansnyder • May 22, 2024
"After a few days in London we took a sleeper train to Edinburgh Scotland. We dropped our duffels at a bounce location then hit the Calton Hill area, walking the regents trail and visiting the various monuments. A little road walking brought us down to Holyrood Park. Hit Arthur’s Seat with all the crowds taking the spur path to St Anthony’s chapel on the way. We continued to roam up and down to get Crow Hill, Whinny Hill and finally Salisbury Crags. All easy walking in the “hills”. Finished our day roaming the streets and doing some shopping before picking up our duffels and finding our Air B&B." — Nimblefoot • Sep 21, 2023

"Visited my friend in Glasgow for a few days. We did a day trip to Edinburgh which was awesome. Hill bagging wasn't the focus of the trip but persuaded my friend up this one (she thought it was a mountain, bless). I may have spent a while on the summit of Calton hill gazing longingly at Arthurs seat though!......next time maybe......However, this hill is fun with all the things to look at on the summit." — staggeronward • May 21, 2022

"Stopped in Edinburgh as part of the road party traveling back from the Hebrides to Germany. We visited the castle and then walked up to the top of Arthur's seat and the surrounding hills. Beautiful views of a beautiful City. Over 25-26yrs ago now !! One day, as with many of the peaks I have summited in years gone by, I will return with my family." — HikingViking • Oct 10, 1989
