The hike began shortly after Cleghorn Rd turned to dirt. I found a place to park and I set off on foot (since I didn't want to beat up my car). Cleghorn Road connects with 2N49 and heads up the ridge. As expected, it is a long hike up to the Cajon Peak access road (About 6 miles). Once on the access road it is another 1.5 miles to Cajon Peak Lookout. I continued on from there by backtracking a bit before finding the use trail for Cajon Mountain. It is a short climb from the road to the summit. The true summit has a register. Once completing the daily goal, it was a long hike back.
