"Christmas day very nice, I go to this mountain that is not very far but is usually not very crowded.
There is a stony but well-defined path, however the final section is quite rocky with significant slopes where it is easy to fall and break a bone. From the top there are panoramic views but it is not the best place to take a selfie due to lack of space. I ate at the top while the sun was shining surrounded by a fantastic silence.
However, when I was going down, a stone fell off and I ended up testing how hard the rock was by hitting my body on it. Fortunately I haven't broken anything and I've continued going down and exploring the area. The choughs in the photo have come out to celebrate that I was leaving, giving them back their space, because I am only a temporary visitor to these and other places." — franciscobirruezo • Dec 25, 2022

"It is a cool morning and we decided to go to the Path of the Hammer near Ulea, it is close and we have other things to do today. However we need air and sun and above all to move our legs to be in shape. At the beginning of the route we see the nearby Ricote Valley, the ascent is constant and continues like this you have to take it easy. We come across a group of hikers who begin the descent and we give way to them while we exchange a few words with them. We look for a leeward area in the upper part to regain strength with a lunch and just at that moment we see a couple of eagles that fly over their territory, we are just passing through." — franciscobirruezo • Dec 16, 2020

"This pair of peaks look like twins when viewed from afar. It is accessed by climbing The Path of the Hammer. Their altitude is not very noticeable, but they are quite rocky and steep. First I reach the hill between the two climbing some walls, turn left to reach the Cabezo de Cuevas Blancas. The Cabezo de Los Calderones I enjoy it more, because it is almost all rock and the grip is good. A narrow path joins both peaks." — franciscobirruezo • Oct 18, 2019

"Nice route in the Ricote Valley walking along the Senda del Martillo. We do not know the large number of peaks in the area. We have greeted other hikers an some cyclists who were dangerously
descending." — franciscobirruezo • Mar 25, 2018
