"Route not far from home, these two small mountains continue to surprise me with their rock formations and vertical walls. There weren't many flowers in the area today due to the drought but I did see a squirrel and also an eagle delimiting its territory for reproduction. A very young snake hid quickly under a stone and near the summits swallowtail butterflies fluttered over the bushes. At the beginning of the route someone left a paper under a rock
about the black-faced dormouse, but it seems to me that this small rodent prefers more leafy forests." — franciscobirruezo • Apr 2, 2024
"This pair of peaks look like twins when viewed from afar. It is accessed by climbing The Path of the Hammer. Their altitude is not very noticeable, but they are quite rocky and steep. First I reach the hill between the two climbing some walls, turn left to reach the Cabezo de Cuevas Blancas. The Cabezo de Los Calderones I enjoy it more, because it is almost all rock and the grip is good. A narrow path joins both peaks." — franciscobirruezo • Oct 18, 2019
"We return to La Senda del Martillo near Ulea. Today we do not see anyone and that
Is why I think there are many more stones.
There are also more thorny bushes and one of them breaks my t-shirt, however the
views please me more.
Going up we found a path a foot wide and we use it also to go down.
Returning to the Azud de Ojós I take a photo of a construction that reminds me of
The Star Wars." — franciscobirruezo • Apr 3, 2018
