"Weekend circular excursion with backpacks and sleeping bags through the mountains of the Cartagena coast to Cala Aguilar, a very demanding route that requires good physical shape because we carry the water and food necessary for the weekend as well like everything you need to rappel. Despite being in summer, the night in these places is cool and more typical of a desert climate. We try to avoid the hottest hours for the walks and for this reason we start the walk around 5 a.m.
The arrival at Cala Aguilar is endless, but crystal clear water awaits us down there and that encourages us. That same afternoon we entered the Cueva Neptuno of incredible beauty, but you have to rappel and then climb vertically to get out. Dinner and talk by the light of our lamps and a sky full of stars as a ceiling." — franciscobirruezo • Sep 10, 2022
"I come from Cabezo de La Aguja peak and I decide to return by another route so I propose to climb the Cabezo Colorado and avoid the spectacular and very dangerous cliffs. I find it difficult to reach the top by a stony path that goes round and round without end.
Time passes quickly, while I go up I meditate a little, thanks to Peakery I have known incredible places and I have also had moments of suffering, like today.
In the end I ate at 18 PM at home.
The total route was about 7 miles and four hours." — franciscobirruezo • Nov 17, 2018
