"Great little hike from Trillium Gap. Brushy Mountain is well named, as the whole mountain is covered with low, scrubby brush (Laurel?). The trail is thin, well defined, and it can be wet. Great views back to LeConte. Above 4800' it was covered in ice. " — edwandall • Apr 13, 2011
"I've hiked this one a couple of times. Great views from the top. It's really an underrated hike in the Smokies, and fairly easy to get to. Here are some more details of the trail: http://www.hikinginthesmokys.com/brushy_mountain_trail.htm" — SmokyMountainHiker • Dec 30, 1999
