"The "Where the Hike Have You Been" gang plus 2others and one dog, parked the cars and headed to the trail head at 8:20. We were forced to park a mile or so from the start of the trail, because of the low clearance of the vehicles we were driving today. The sky was almost cloudless. and the temperture was a warm 68 degrees. The group of seven hikers quickly formed into two groups, three focused on the destination, and 4 focused on the journey.
The trail was wet, as was expected due to the thundershowers that had passed through the previous day. Those with the waterproof footwear, maintained dry feet, the others weren't so lucky.
The trail follows along a stream bed for the most part, and the terrain is rocky and the rock is mostly ledge. There were a couple of places along the trail where the dog had difficuties, but with the aide of a two legged hiker he was able to bag another peak. After climbing for what seemed like a good mile we came to a flat wet spot in the trail, where we finally got a look at the peak.
