Highlights
- Boott Spur stands on the shoulder of Mount Washington above the south side of the headwall of Tuckerman Ravine.
- Although well over 4,000 feet, Boott Spur is not considered an official "4000-footer" because it stands less than 200 feet above the col on the ridge from Washington, making it a secondary summit of that peak.
- The Boott Spur Trail ascends the summit from the east, leaving the Tuckerman Ravine Trail .4 miles above the Pinkham Notch visitor center.

"Molly needed Monroe for her Grid and I needed Washington and Monroe for mine. She drove up the night before and we got an early start to the day. We headed up Lion's Head Tr to Washington. We then dropped down Nelson Crag to take the Alpine Garden Tr across to see the pretty flowers. We then took Tuckerman Crossover to reach Lake of the Clouds and went up Monroe. We then took Camel Tr and down Boot Spur. Tough day but a beautiful one above treeline." — newenglandwarrior • Jun 13, 2021
"Started on Tuckerman's Ravine trail to Hermit Lake. From there took the Boott Spur Link to Boott Spur. After summiting Boott Spur hiked on the Davis Path all the way to Isolation. Hiked back Davis Path to Glen Boulder Trail and out Glen Boulder. Short road walk back to Pinkham Notch. Number 46 of 48 NH4K." — dmcosker • Aug 22, 2020
"The goal of today was to close out my red-lining of the Washington tab. I went up Huntington Ravine Tr, over Alpine Garden Tr, then Lawn Cutoff. I grabbed Boott Spur on my way out, for my TW72. " — newenglandwarrior • Jul 25, 2020
"Peak Bagged this on way to Isolation via Glen Boulder. Sensational weather, fantastic views. From Boot Spur look to Mt Wash. summit, down into Tuckerman's Ravine and across the Hunnington's Headwall." — Alohabuffy • Jun 20, 2015

"Nice day for a hike up Boott Spur and Washington. Was testing out a new backpack (Gregory Baltoro 75) so I had some extra weight on my shoulders. TONS of tourist on top of Washington waiting in line to get a picture and the DRIVE back down.

"Decided to 'bag' Isolation so I hiked Boott Spur and then down to Isolation - and then back up to almost Boott Spur to catch the Glen Boulder Trail. Foggy and very windy hiking up Boott Spur - much nicer on the way out." — markst-john • Jul 4, 2012

"This was my first trip up Mount Washington & the conditions could not have been better. After a week of rain, the weather broke just long enough for our two day trip over the southern part of the Presidential Range." — VonSelmer • May 6, 2012

"On the way to Mt. Washington Ascent.
Terrible weather- fog a thick as pea soup, broke for ~10min and returned.
Would like to return, and see it on a clear day, and do it as a descent." — CiccheMariti • Aug 2, 2011

"This was another of those recently discovered photographed hikes I came across (5/2020). This time I hiked up Mt. Washington using a variety of trails, Tuckerman Ravine with Boott Spur going up and Nelson Crag for the descent. I remember that it wasn't particularly windy this time, which made for a pleasant hiking day." — SteveM_StickMan • Jul 27, 1991
