"Peak 2165 was the main destination this time around. While looking for the access trail, I climbed to about a quarter mile from the top of Blue Mountain, so I went ahead and included it on the hike. The Peak 2165 access trail cuts the slope of Blue Mountain to Peak 2165’s base. I headed up a dirt bikers trail until it intersected a wild burrow trail. The wild burrow trail led me to the summit.
I formed a loop going back by incorporating use trails and some surprisingly good wild burro trails which wrapped around the lower slopes and returned me to where I started." — MikeTeeples • Nov 24, 2024
"Started the hike from the Reche Canyon side of Westwood Road. This is a different starting point from my last visit. The previous starting point was blocked off and still remains so. Followed the dirt road all the way to the top, with some of Riverside’s best views." — MikeTeeples • Nov 11, 2024
"Hiked blue mountain from the main trail head that is private property but the hike was really steep and the views where amazing all the way up

"From the end of Westwood Street, a dirt road marks the beginning of the hike. Some pathways break off from the main road in the early going, but the direction to go becomes rather straightforward. Great views all around on the climb and on the summit. Turned out to be a decent workout, especially after dropping a few fitness levels the last 2 months." — MikeTeeples • Jan 13, 2018
"On the topo map, it said there were not one, but two summit markers. I couldn't find either of them, but I did find some conspicuously summit-marker shaped holes. I don't know if they were removed or stolen, but there's nothing there now." — jimduvall • Nov 23, 2012
