Started from Scales Farm in mist, ascended via Mousthwaite Comb, then up Scales Fell to the summit of Blencathra, Hallsfell top. On the ascent the cloud and mist rolled away to reveal a superb vista. It was so good and surprisingly warm for December, that we stayed on the summit ridges & plateau for some time and returned by the same route.
